POLAFLOOR PD is an air drying, moisture cured, single component polyurethane coating for application to industrial concrete floors. It produces a surface that is very wear-resistant and is unharmed by most industrial chemicals. POLAFLOOR PD cures to an attractive semi-gloss finish and is available with aluminum oxide granules or sharp quartz silica to provide a highly traction-enhancing surface.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES:
§ Fast setting; has rapid strength build
§ Develops high impact and thermal shock resistant properties
§ Protects floors from spalling, cracking or other forms of breakdown due to water attack
§ Long service life, even in industrial or chemical environment
§ Saves time, money and labor; reduces downtime of floor after application

APPLICATION:
Caution! READ THIS ENTIRE DATA SHEET BEFORE CONTINUING.
All surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and completely free of loose particles, oil, grease or any substance that would interfere with proper bond. Surfaces may be cleaned by emulsifiable degreaser, solvent, heavy duty detergent, sand blasting or other convenient form of surface preparation. Remove all traces of cleaning agent and allow the surface to dry before beginning work. Previously coated surfaces must be tested for soundness and compatibility with POLAFLOOR
PD. It may be necessary to brush blast previous coatings to provide a key for proper bonding.
POLAFLOOR
PD may be applied by roller, brush or squeegee brush. If using a roller, a medium pile roller with a solvent-resistant pile and core is recommended. If using a brush, carry the POLAFLOOR
PD to the surface on the brush. No moisture can be present on equipment or the substrate when using POLAFLOOR
PD. Two coats are recommended for optimum appearance and durability. Apply subsequent coats when the prior coat is touch dry, but not more than 24 hours between coats. If aggregate is used to increase traction, broadcast it into the first coat while it is still wet. Clean equipment immediately after use with xylene or toluene. It is important that cleaning takes place before the Polafloor dries.
LIMITATIONS:
Do not use below 35°F. Shelf life is 12 months when stored in factory sealed containers. Coated surfaces with direct exposure to sunlight will experience a loss of gloss and a slight change in color.
PRECAUTIONS:
Warning! This product is flammable. Keep away from sparks and open flames. Use manual spray equipment or EP (explosion proof) rated equipment. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Do not ingest. In case of ingestion, do NOT induce vomiting and seek immediate medical attention. Keep away from skin and eyes with rubber gloves, full coveralls and eye goggles. In case of contact, flush with clear water for 15 minutes. In case of contact with eyes, seek immediate medical attention in addition to flushing. Individuals with sensitivities to handling isocyanates are advised not to handle this product.
