NW ‘Z’ GRADE

Extreme-Durability Waterproof Deck Coating for Concrete, Steel, and Marine Applications

NW ‘Z’ GRADE is a premium-quality, single-component waterproofing coating engineered for exceptional durability, flexibility, and abrasion resistance. Designed for concrete decks, walkways, stairways, and a wide range of structural surfaces, it delivers long-term protection in both architectural and heavy-duty industrial environments.

Formulated as a solvent-based system, NW ‘Z’ GRADE can be applied across a wide temperature range and cures into a seamless, resilient membrane. It is designed to bridge hairline cracks, accommodate substrate movement, and resist impingement attack while maintaining strong adhesion and surface integrity.

Built for demanding exposure conditions, NW ‘Z’ GRADE performs in marine, industrial, and constant immersion environments, providing a dense protective barrier that maintains flexibility at low temperatures and strength under high heat.

Available in 24 standard colors, with custom color matching upon request.

NW Z GRADE Application Guideline

Surface Preparation

  • Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, loose debris, oil, grease, or any contaminants that may interfere with proper adhesion.
  • All repairs to damaged or defective areas must be completed prior to application.

Application

NW ‘Z’ GRADE should be applied directly from the container after mixing thoroughly with a low-speed power mixer for a minimum of 2 minutes

Apply using a brush, roller, or spray equipment in a smooth, even manner to achieve uniform coverage. Install in two coats.

Ensure adequate ventilation to promote proper drying between coats and prior to placing the surface into service.

Under well-ventilated conditions, drying time is approximately 12 hours at 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity for a 16 mil wet film thickness.

Spray Application

Use airless spray equipment with a 30:1 or 40:1 ratio and a #35 or larger tip size.

Clean-Up

Clean tools and equipment with xylene or toluene solvent.

Limitations

  • Do not apply to wet, frozen, or moisture-saturated surfaces. Proper surface preparation is essential for optimal performance.
  • Shelf life is approximately 24 months when stored in unopened containers indoors.
  • This product is flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames. Use only EP-rated equipment.
