Description
ANDEK ACCELERATOR
Cure-Enhancing Additive for Urethane Coating Systems
ANDEK ACCELERATOR is a specially formulated chemical additive containing a blend of chelated metal catalyst and amine accelerator designed for use with approved Andek urethane-based coatings.
When incorporated into compatible systems, it significantly increases cure speed at all temperatures—allowing contractors to complete installations efficiently, even under challenging environmental conditions.
Ideal for time-sensitive projects, ANDEK ACCELERATOR reduces downtime, shortens recoat windows, and enhances early-stage coating performance.
Key Performance Benefits
- Accelerated Crosslink Development
Achieves earlier chemical and impact resistance - Faster Through-Cure
Promotes rapid curing after initial set - All-Temperature Performance
Speeds cure in both warm and cool environments - Viscosity Adjustment
Modifies liquid viscosity without altering rheological profile - Reduced Vulnerability Window
Minimizes exposure to contamination or damage during cure - Earlier Topcoating
Allows faster application of subsequent layers or finishes
Usage ratio

ANDEK ACCELERATOR Application Guideline
Application
Before use, review the product data sheet for the coating being combined with ANDEK ACCELERATOR.
ANDEK ACCELERATOR is compatible with POLAROOF RAC, ROOFDX SUPER, ENCAPSALL SUPER, and AIM #1. Use with other Andek products only after consultation with the Andek Technical Department.
Shake the container vigorously for at least 30 seconds. Add the contents to a 5-gallon pail of the selected Andek coating and mix thoroughly for a minimum of 3 minutes using a mechanical mixer.
After achieving a uniform mixture, allow the material to stand for 2–3 minutes to release entrapped air. Apply the coating in accordance with the instructions provided on the product label.
Limitations
The addition of ANDEK ACCELERATOR will reduce the pot life of the coating to approximately 3 hours.
While it promotes faster curing at lower temperatures, do not apply any Andek coating to frozen, damp, or wet surfaces.
Pot Life
Approximately 3 hours at 70°F (21°C).
Storage
Store in a dry area away from direct sunlight and protect from freezing. Keep containers tightly sealed.
Shelf life is up to 2 years from the date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened containers between 45°F (7°C) and 90°F (32°C).
Disposal
Dispose of waste in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Incineration is the preferred method of disposal.
Safety Information
Read the product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) prior to use for important health and safety information.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
