Description
IMCAS ESP 2
Vacuum Leak Sealer. Flexible, Targeted Sealing Performance.
IMCAS ESP 2 is a specialized liquid-applied coating formulated to seal vacuum leaks in critical mechanical and industrial systems. Engineered for precision sealing, it is particularly effective in areas where maintaining vacuum integrity is essential, including turbine and condensate system components.
This unique formulation bonds tightly to rubber surfaces while allowing controlled release from metal when required, making it ideal for temporary or serviceable sealing applications. IMCAS ESP 2 is easy to apply and forms a flexible, reliable seal that helps eliminate vacuum loss in complex assemblies.
Designed for use in moderate temperature environments, it performs effectively in service conditions up to 250°F.
Key Benefits
- Vacuum Leak Sealing – Effectively seals leaks in vacuum and low-pressure systems.
- Targeted Adhesion – Bonds strongly to rubber while allowing release from metal surfaces.
- Liquid-Applied Convenience – Easy to apply to complex shapes and hard-to-reach areas.
- Flexible Sealing Film – Maintains integrity under operating conditions.
- Clean Formulation – Contains no halogens, PTFE, or elemental sulfur.
- Serviceable Application – Allows for maintenance and removal when required.
Typical Applications
- Turbine condenser gaskets
- Rupture discs
- Strainers and manways
- Hot well covers
- Condensate line expansion joints
- Other components prone to vacuum leakage

Application
Application
Surfaces must be dry, free of dirt or loose debris, free of oils, greases or any substances that will interfere with bond. IMCAS ESP 2 is applied straight out of the can after 2 minutes of gentle low speed mixing or stirring. Apply the product using brush or roller. It is only necessary to touch the vacuum leak with IMCAS ESP 2. The vacuum will draw it in and cause it to plug the leak.
Spray equipment can be used to reach areas. Caution is advised in using spray equiment. Airless type equipment must be used. The following equipment specifications must be used: 30:1 pump ration or higher. A minimum 3/8″ hose with as short of a run of hose as possible. A #37 tip is recommended.
Clean up
Clean tools and equipment with xylene or toluene solvent. Do not allow any solvent to contact IMCAS ESP 2 that has been applied.
Limitations
Do not apply to wet or frozen surfaces that are saturated with moisture. Shelf life is 2 years when stored in a factory sealed container between 45°F and 90°F. This product is flammable. Keep away from sources of heat, sparks, and flames. Use only EP rated equipment.
Precautions
Read the container label warning and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for important health and safety information prior to the use of this product.
Maintenance
If a surface becomes dirty, wash with a mild soapy water solution. If an area becomes nicked or cut, re coat with IMCAS ESP 2.
