RAC 007

Reflective Urethane Roof Coating. Durable Seamless Protection for All Types of Roofs.

RAC 007 is a high-performance, single-component moisture-cure urethane roof coating engineered for extreme durability and long-term waterproofing protection. Modified with bright metallic leaf, it delivers excellent solar and radiant heat reflectance while forming a seamless, protective membrane over a wide range of roofing systems.

Designed for industrial and high-exposure environments, RAC 007 provides a tough, elastic coating with high tensile strength and superior puncture resistance, ensuring long-term performance under harsh weather, chemical exposure, and thermal movement. Corrosion-inhibiting pigments protect substrates from acids, hydrocarbons, and other aggressive contaminants commonly found in industrial settings.

Its reflective metallic finish helps reduce roof surface temperatures and energy consumption, while the cured membrane resists water intrusion, UV degradation, and environmental wear. RAC 007 maintains flexibility in low temperatures and stability under high heat, making it ideal for demanding roofing applications, including areas subject to ponding water.

Key Benefits

RAC 007 Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, loose debris, oils, grease, or any contaminants that may interfere with adhesion. The surface temperature must remain at least 5°F (3°C) above the dew point during application and curing. Do not apply RAC 007 to wet or damp surfaces, as this may result in pinholes.

Application
Do not apply if substrate or ambient temperatures are expected to fall below 35°F (2°C) within 4 hours of application. The surface must remain at least 5°F (3°C) above the dew point throughout application and curing. Do not apply to wet, damp, or frozen surfaces, or if precipitation is expected within 4 hours.

RAC 007 is supplied ready for use. Stir thoroughly for a minimum of 2 minutes using a low-speed drill mixer. Do not thin. Apply in two coats using a soft brush, medium-nap roller, or airless sprayer, maintaining a smooth and even application.

Reinforcement of Metal Roof Seams
Apply RAC 007 at 15–25 mils wet film thickness and immediately embed ROOFAB into the wet coating. Brush the fabric thoroughly to ensure full saturation, eliminating voids, fishmouths, and dry areas. Apply a second coat to fully seal the fabric.

Bolt heads should be treated by applying sufficient RAC 007 to fully encapsulate them to the point of slight rundown. Once dry, the surface may be recoated with RAC 007 or another compatible topcoat.

Application Over EPDM, Modified, and Other Roof Systems
Follow all surface preparation requirements, including seam reinforcement. Some rubber substrates may exhibit slight swelling immediately after application; this is normal and will subside as the material returns to its original dimensions, indicating proper adhesion.

New urethane foam substrates should receive two coats of RAC 007 at approximately 15 mils wet film thickness per coat.

If unexpected precipitation occurs shortly after application, RAC 007 will not wash off; however, a mottled or dull appearance may result. This does not affect performance.

Spray Application
Use a 30:1 airless pump with a 3/8″ moisture-resistant hose and a 33 tip size.

Recommended Film Thickness
Two coats will achieve approximately 30 mils dry film thickness (DFT).

Dry Time (Walkable)
Approximately 24 hours at 80°F (27°C) and 70% relative humidity.

Full Cure Time
Approximately 72 hours at 80°F (27°C) and 70% relative humidity.

Cleanup
Clean tools and equipment with xylene or aromatic naphtha.

Storage
Store in a dry location away from direct sunlight and freezing conditions. Keep containers tightly sealed. Shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers between 50°F (10°C) and 81°F (27°C).

Disposal
Dispose of waste materials in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Incineration is the preferred method of disposal where permitted.

Safety Notice
Read the product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) prior to use for important health and safety information.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
